Stingo run workshops for people of any age, experience and background. We facilitate sessions ranging from ‘What is Folk’ in which we introduce the basics through an interactive concert, to more specialised workshops on the intricacies of British folk singing for example.
Between us we have led projects in early years settings, both primary and secondary education, universities, festivals, care homes, hospitals and many more.
Stingo workshops are unique because we tailor our programmes to suit the exact requirements of your organisation. We will adapt our repertoire to fit with the curriculum you are studying or plan a day of vocal workshops focussing on confidence boosting in a corporate context.
Whether you are a musician, music lover, or just happen upon us we guarantee that the experience of participating in a Stingo workshop will energise your day and leave you with new skills, heightened awareness and many positive memories.
Our projects range from half day sessions, e.g. 9-11am ‘Welcome to Folk’ - a two hour programme that introduces you and your participants to a range of folk styles, to longer projects in which we are based in your institution for a series of sessions over the course of the term/season.
